MATOUŠ PĚRUŠKA, VIOLIN

Matouš Pěruška obtained his MA degree at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he is currently completing his PhD. He also finished postgraduate chamber music studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest.

Matouš Pěruška has been part of the master courses of Wiener Philharmoniker in August 2013 and 2014, where he was twice chosen to perform as a soloist and as a member of a chamber group with the other successful participants in Musikverein in Vienna.

 

He participated in master classes of worldwide renowned professors such as I. Ženatý, V. Hudeček, M. Frischenschlager, M. Šetena, P. Götzel, Hagai Shaham, Ray Chan and Ivri Gitlis.

Matouš has participated in numerous national and international competitions. In May 2014 he won the sixth edition of “Premio Francesco Geminiani” international competition in Verona. In September 2015 was awarded 2nd prize and prize of the audience at the Brahms competition in Pörtschach. In May 2016 he became winner of the international competition “Paolo Serrao” in Italy. Most recently he became laureate of the Prague Spring violin competition (May 2017). 

 

Matouš was an honored member of the Orchestral Academy of Czech Philharmonic Orchestra since 2012 until 2014.
